My favorite character so far in To Kill a Mocking Bird is probably, “Scout” I like Her because she is really smart and knows a lot. I think this is from Atticus teaching her, so really I like Atticus because he is a single parent but still finds time to teach his kids. Back to Scout I think it is really cool that Scout can already read, and all the other kid in her school can't so she is really smart for her age.
I have learned from these characters that it is okay to be different. For example Atticus' family use slave, but Atticus him self is nice to black people, like “Calpurnia” and he still pays her money. So Calpurnia is not a slave. Another example is that Scout is a girl, but acts like a boy thus making he different from the other girls in Maycomb County. This is teaching me that it is okay to be different from other and to just be yourself. And that you can do what ever you set your mind to. In conclusion Atticus and Scout are both my favorite characters for they are different, and are them selves.
